As the world moves on, post COVID 19,many people are working tirelessly around the world, to see quick global recovery and Africa is trying its best to make life easier for its teaming growing youthful populations as Graceful speaks to grapevine to know what they are doing to help out. From Asia ,to Africa to U.S.A to Europe and every part of the globe. It has been hands on in laboratories and factories to get things done. In our 2022 issues we were asking questions to know if there could be fast recovery ,this has been done .And we are delighted that even Nigerian innovators are working hard to bring the change people need.
Nigeria has seen different products made this year, with tangible products made in the areas of agricultural technology, health technology and digital technology. The government and private individuals are working hard to create new products that will make life simple for everyone. While many are crying that there has been difficulties, many people are still hoping that in 2026,more jobs could be created for the younger Nigerians as the government and people in the different states work to see what could be done as grapevine told Graceful media team.
The new products made in Nigeria in the year 2025 are
Agricultural Production Technology
A company founded in Ekiti state Nigeria called Black Soldier Fly Project was able to test the large-scale production of black Soldier Fly Larvae (BSFL) as a nutrient-rich, sustainable animal feed alternative, addressing the problem of high animal feed costs. Many people know that the problem of farmers across Africa especially Nigeria, is not only the issue of low profits, lack of start up capital, but that of the high cost production and animal food cost has left the farmers with low profits and they become discouraged and are termed as poor and out of pocket money, which should not be as they are needed to keep the populace well fed. But this problem is being tackled by this company through its new innovation alternative initiative and many hope that the sustainability of this new product will help many people. The needed larger scale production and cheap accessibility of finished products will make life easy for the poorest farmers .
- Healthcare Innovations
- Early Cancer Detection: Innovators were able to produce a smart wearable "Bra-X" early breast cancer detection.
- Multi-Patient Ventilator: An innovative ventilator capable of supporting up to six patients simultaneously was produced.
- The Health City, a tech-enabled social enterprise, is educating young people and adolescents on health issues.
Powdered Tomatoes
Difian Global Concepts Ltd introduced a solution for producing high-quality powdered tomatoes, which significantly helps in reducing post-harvest losses for farmers and creates a sustainable supply chain. This product has been a highly anticipated product to help the farmers ,who are always losing large sums each year, because of lack of preservation technology. Women welcomed this product as it is easy to be used and will help them to save money on food each year.
AI in Farming: Innovations include the use of AI-controlled drones for precision farming and effective pest control.
- Healthcare Technology (Health Tech)
- Early Cancer Detection: A smart wearable "Bra-X" has been developed for early breast cancer detection.
- Multi-Patient Ventilator: An innovative ventilator capable of supporting up to six patients simultaneously was showcased.
- Preventative Medicine and Healthcare
- The Health City, a tech-enabled social enterprise, is focusing on delivering preventative healthcare services and education for young people and adolescents. Preventative medicine has been seen to help countries to save money.A healthy nation is a productive nation. Rather than curing sick people ,it is better to put things in place to prevent the sicknesses.
- AI and Digital Infrastructures;
- Nigerian innovators are actively working to move from being consumers of AI products to becoming producers, focusing on developing strong AI ecosystems in the work places. This might take sometime, but it is something achievable as developers work at creating new products that will match what the others are doing around the world.
- Telecom Connectivity Projects
- Nigerian government initiatives such as the "774 LGAs Connectivity" and "Fibre Forward" projects have started making internet access to reach across the country laying 90,000 kilometres of fibre optic cable. This is good news to help the most rural people to do their businesses. This will help farmers in the villages to connect easily with buyers in the cities and is a huge leap for the food industry where there is massive problem.
- New Innovation Centres
- A new innovation centre was opened by Huawei in Nigeria to accelerate digital transformation .This centre has employed lots of people and has helped to cut down the number of people on the data of the unemployed.
- Clean Energy and Smart Cities
- Affordable Energy: New, affordable clean energy solutions are being developed to help underprivileged communities. Smart City Development: The development of Eko Atlantic city in Lagos is progressing, with plans to be a largely technology-driven smart city with improved infrastructure and reduced environmental impact.
Programmes like "Innovate Naija" challenge and other various government programs were started to connect local ingenuity to global capital , positioning Nigeria as a key player in the global technology landscape. With what Alhaji Aliyu Dangote and other tech giants and engineers are doing Nigeria should be able to overcome the problem of unemployment and poverty which are the major problems in the highly populated country But with a lot that is being done, the country can harness its natural resources and make life easier for the youths. According to grapevine Nigeria is working at developing lots of new ideas that will create more jobs in the near future and the world watches on to see what is being done by its innovators to make life easier in the few years.

Africa's richest man Aliko Dangote signs a deal with Zimbabwe to build 2,000km-long pipeline from Namibia
by Graceful media team
Friday 14/11/2025 15:21 P.M BMT 10mins
In what was called a a move set to reshape Southern Africa’s industrial landscape, Nigeria's billionaire investor and Africa's richest man Aliko Dangote has struck a landmark US$1 billion investment deal with Zimbabwe.
The project is made up of a fertiliser plant and a 2,000km-long pipeline from Namibia’s Walvis Bay, which will pass through Botswana, to Zimbabwe’s second-largest town , Bulawayo.
Billionaire Dangote had a meeting with President Emmerson Mnangagwa in Harare on Wednesday to sign a Memorandum of Understanding, marking one of the most significant private-sector investments in the country in so many years.
"The broader investment is in the hundreds of millions of dollars, maybe even more than a billion, but you know we will tell you the amount as we go along, But really it will be over a billion because of the pipeline," Dangote said on Wednesday.
According to what Graceful learnt the project could change Zimbabwe’s production structure which will make it cheaper to import fuel to the country.
The agreement will make way way for major projects across energy, cement and fertiliser production, and infrastructure development.
Dangote is already planning to build a major fuel storage facility in Walvis Bay, cutting Southern Africa’s dependence on fuel imports from Europe and Asia. Our readers will remember that of recently we reported about Dangote's new refinery in Nigeria where he is aspiring to expand into the biggest in the world. Dangote continues to expand his business reach across Africa ,providing new jobs for his people.

Nigeria refinery aspires to expand into world's biggest

Dangote refinery is aspiring to become the largest in the world in few years to come.Owned by billionaire richest Africa's investor Alhaji Aliyu Dangote, who told world press the ambition he has for his refinery, which not only employs a large population of oil workers, and has been serving the large Nigerian populace and Africa with the world beyond."We are more than doubling the barrels (per day)... to 1.4 million from 650,000," said Aliko Dangote, a Nigerian businessman who is Africa's richest person. He told a news conference in Lagos,Nigeria that his company will be bigger than the largest oil refinery in India which is Jamnagar refinery.Despite being the largest crude oil producer,Nigeria continues to import all of its petrol due to corruption and mismanagement but Dangote's refinery aims to be a gamechanger for Nigerians according to its owners. It is still troubling that despite years of oil drilling in Portharcourt and Eket, Akwa Ibom state, the populace are still sometimes suffering the effects of fuel shortages which is what they mostly use in powering their generator sets, cars and motorcycles. Shortages in petrol supply has been a source of hardship to Nigerians as long queues are constantly seen in its cities, with people carrying gallons and sometimes this is not safe for Nigerians. But the businessman told the press that his refinery will be a gamechanger. Dangote has so far driven down petrol prices as he competes with other providers and he hopes to do more.He also exports aviation fuel, mainly to the United States,Europe and Brazil.A second privately owned refinery, BUA, is under construction by another Nigerian billionaire,Abdulsamad Rabiu.
Dangote hopes to list his fuel company in the Nigeria stock exchange(NSE).Due to the problems in Nigeria's oil sector his move is progressive as Nigeria's oil prices need to be driven down by competing companies. We hope that there will be more entrants into the oil sector as this will help the populace to have better oil prices and better services in the oil sector.Recently there was oil strikes in Nigeria among oil workers from Pengassan the oil workers union, with accusations that they didnot like how Dangote's company has been laying off local workers and hiring Indian expatriates, an allegation which the company refuted. Nigeria produces an average of 1.5 million barrels of oil per day, according to OPEC, but it is still short of its two million bpd target.Oil remains its largest export, but despite years of oil drilling in its oil producing states, many Nigerians remain poor, which is very worrisome to many around the world who hope that with the entrance of new businesses in the oil sector, more jobs will be created for young Nigerians with good salaries . As Dangote's company continues to expand the world watches on to see what he is doing to provide more jobs to the young people in cities across the country.
